YOUR DIGITAL INDIVidUALITY

wordflow

overview

the problem

The software "WordPress" served as a reference point for the design of the desktop application Wordflow, which allows users to create their own websites. WordPress is one of the most popular platforms for operating websites and offers users the ability to design and host their sites freely. Despite its popularity, the structure of WordPress still has room for improvement. For the design of Wordflow, the functions and layout of both WordPress and similar software were researched to analyze and optimize the full range of features for Wordflow.

A professional, creative, dynamic and practical tool for creating your own website.
concept

the solution

Wordflow offers users the ability to design a personalized website. Beginners can quickly get started with our software, while advanced users have the flexibility to design a website according to their own vision.

Use Case
Imagine the owners of a coffee shop want to create a website to promote their café and inform customers. They aim to showcase their menu and provide an easy way for customers to contact them. The software should be simple and intuitive, as the owners have no prior experience in web design. Given that running a café is both stressful and time-consuming, the process of creating a website should be smooth and quick.

Styleguide
The style guide outlines the defined colors, buttons and font styles based on the design principles.

website builder

The intuitive website builder facilitates an efficient workflow. It doesn’t disrupt the website-building process and is easy to use.

dashboard

The dashboard can be customized to meet the user's needs, with options for statistics or comments.

Project

Information

This project was carried out in collaboration with Lucie Wittmer, Antonia Richter, and Sarah Kuklinski at the Hochschule für Gestaltung, Schwäbisch Gmünd. The goal of the Application Design II course, taught by Thomas Techert, was to analyze user software (primarily desktop applications) in order to redesign and make it more user-friendly. For this purpose, the students selected a suitable application as the focus of their work and developed it further.
